Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how RockService LLC ("RockService", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit rockservice.pro or contact us through it. RockService is an automotive repair dealer located at 521 Charcot Ave, Ste 253, San Jose, California 95131.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you send a project request through our form, you provide your name, phone number, optional email address, your vehicle's year, make and model, the type of work you're interested in, and a description of what the car needs.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical data when you load a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use it only to keep the site running and secure. We do not use advertising trackers, and our own site does not set cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
Third-party content. Our "Find us" section can show an embedded Google Map. It loads only when you click "Show map". Once it loads, Google may collect information such as your IP address and set its own cookies under the Google Privacy Policy. Links to Instagram, WhatsApp and other services take you to sites governed by their own privacy policies.
How we use your information
- To reply to your request and discuss your car and project by text, WhatsApp, phone or email. We do not send marketing text messages.
- To prepare written estimates, schedule work and keep you updated about your vehicle.
- To keep records required for automotive repair dealers under California law.
- To protect our website and business from fraud, spam and abuse.
We do not use your information for unrelated marketing, and we will not add you to a mailing list without your permission.
How we share information
We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with:
- Service providers that help us operate, such as our website host and the service that delivers form submissions to us, which may use it only to provide those services.
- Parts suppliers or specialists, only as needed to complete work you have authorized.
- Government agencies or others when required by law, or to protect our rights and safety.
How long we keep it
We keep requests that do not lead to work for up to 24 months. Records related to estimates, work orders and invoices are kept as long as California law requires and our business needs, and then deleted.
Security
Our site is served over HTTPS, and access to customer information is limited to the people who need it to serve you. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, subject to records we must keep by law. To make a request, call us at (408) 483-8877 or write to us at the address below. We will verify your identity before acting on the request and respond within 45 days.
Under California's "Shine the Light" law, California residents may ask whether we disclosed personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not make such disclosures.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because our site does not track visitors across other websites, we do not change how the site behaves when it receives one.
Children
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be posted on this page.
